Booney has sweet a temperament, energetic and full of life. He is current on vaccinations and neutered, DOB Jan 11th. Crate trained, good on walks, loves the water, he is accustom to having someone at home with him. He has some has some separation anxiety and is best crated when left alone. In July 2011, Booney owner shoot himself in the living room while Booney sat in his crate in the bedroom for 3 days until someone found him and the body. Booney is currently in a temporary home in Temecula, CA with another 3 year old DDB; he is good with other dogs. He can be protective with kids and can be stubborn, he would thrive in a strong dog home. He is most responsive to men UPDATE I just went to CA to pick up Booney and this poor dog, all he wanted was to sit in the passenger seat and curl up and lay his head on my lap for almost 6 hours. We have him at a boarding kennel but I would love to see him in a foster home or a foster to adopt or just adopt Booney. Somewhere a little on the quieter side and another dog would be great, a female only due to the breed. I think he needs love and security right now after all he has been through.Boony's owner first lost his wife then moved into a apt and then shortly after lost his job. The owner did all he could do to hold on to his beloved dog and after he exhausted all other resources he shot himself. Booney was locked in his crate for 3 days no food or water. We know Booney heard the shot and tried to get out of his crate and knowing the breed, I believe to get to his owner. Had there not been clips on his crate he would have gotten out as it was the crate was heavilly damaged. If you can open your heart and home to this wonderful dog please contact me ASAP so I can get him into a better place. neopup6@yahoo.com or 602 281 0901 UPDATE We have tested Booney with a small male dog and other large breed females and he did great, we are not sure about cats and will be testing him. Booney is fine with children but we would suggest 7 yrs and up due to size of the dog. Booney sometimes gets very excited and he doesn't realize his size and will knock smaller children over . Booney is crate trained and will pull on the leash when excited, he is also house trained. .
