Meet Luanne

This sweet young Cane Corso girl has already been through more than most. After being abandoned and taken to the shelter, Luanne was absolutely terrified—hiding in the corner of her kennel, barking and growling at anyone who came near. She wasn’t aggressive… she was scared and completely shut down.

Thankfully, someone took the time to see past that fear. With patience and kindness, they built trust and brought her out to the play yard—where a completely different dog emerged. Luanne showed off her soft, dainty play style and love for other dogs. Beneath that fear was just a happy, bouncy puppy waiting to feel safe.

Because of her kennel behavior, she was placed on the euthanasia list—but we were able to step in just in time. And we are so glad we did.

Outside of the shelter, Luanne is a completely different girl. She is:

• Dog friendly and loves to play

• A cuddle bug who craves affection

• Great on walks and enjoys getting out

• Playful and loves her toys

• Best suited for a home with older kids

She is still a little under-socialized, so she’ll thrive in a home that will continue building her confidence and showing her the world is a safe place.
